Job Summary:
As a Microvellum Draftsperson you will be responsible for creating precise and efficient shop drawings CNCready files and detailed project documentation to support our operations. You ll work closely with our Operations Manager and production team to ensure accuracy efficiency and seamless execution of fitout projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Drafting & Approvals
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D shop drawings for commercial fitouts.
- Prepare warehouse construction drawings for GM and client approval ensuring they meet specifications.
- Incorporate design revisions quickly and efficiently based on feedback.
CNC Nesting & Material Preparation
- Translate 3D designs into CNCready files ensuring automated linkage between 2D and 3D conversions.
- Generate accurate material lists (boards hardware and other components) for procurement.
- Crosscheck all measurements (2D & 3D) with the GM to prevent discrepancies.
- Nest 3D models into CNCready layouts optimizing material usage.
- Create part labels for seamless assembly and installation.
Process Improvement & Collaboration
- Maintain open communication with the Operations Manager and team to ensure smooth project flow.
- Implement systems and procedures to improve workflow efficiency and reduce errors.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices to continuously refine processes.
Requirements
Requirement/Skills Needed:
- Minimum 3 years of drafting experience in joinery cabinetmaking or shopfitting
- A trade background to understand workflows project impact and key construction details.
- Proficiency in Microvellum and its integration with CNC machinery
- Strong understanding of CNC nesting (OMNI 2040 Syntec 60 experience is a plus).
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate drawings and prevent site issues.
- Ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously while maintaining efficiency.
- Autonomous worker who takes ownership of tasks and deadlines.
- Commercial fitout experience with an understanding of industry standards.

- Setup and Location: WFH/Remote
- Work Schedule: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (AEDT) 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (PH Time)

Requirements/Skills Needed: Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in estimation, project costing, or a similar role. Proficiency in AroFlo CRM, and Groundplan software. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. Strong understanding of Australian construction practices and regulatory standards. Speak English well. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in reviewing plans and documentation. Strong IT skills with the ability to learn and adapt to various tools and systems.
