Job description:
Our Client is seeking a dynamic and strategicSr Director Brand Incubation and Product Innovation tosupports the BusinessDevelopment and Brand Incubation team on allaspects of new brands incubation which includesproduct ideation strategic analysis (e.g. competitive analysis white space brand ideation anddevelopment) and prepare pitch presentation to strategic partners.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research identifying white space customer needs & trends
- Carry out various competitive analysis and define product benchmarks
- Lead incubation & development of new brands in fragrance skincare color cosmetics personalcare & bodycare (i.e. multiple categories) and across different distribution channels includingmass specialty & DTC
- Support the collaboration with suppliers and manufacturers by coordinating meetings and emailcorrespondence
- Work with cross functional departments to ensure projects progress smoothly
- Create timelines for all collection launches and track status/ follow up on key target dates (incoordination with other departments like supply chain and productdevelopment)
- Conduct weekly meetings with all the development team members
- Work closely with supply chain team / vendors to ensure execution of all newproductslaunches and to confirm key deadlines are met
- Manage all formula development with selected lab(s) and work with packaging and design toidentify/develop appropriate stock and/or custom packaging
- Develop ingredientfocused franchises and specific requirements with list ofproposed products
- Work closely with retailer(s) on the brand launch plan instore merchandising retailers.com
- Keep in close contact with client/talent and related team to ensure approvalscommunicationsetc.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in google applications Microsoft officeand general computeroperations
