Job Description
Our client requires the services of a Software Engineer (Senior) Midrand/Menlyn/Rosslyn/Home Office rotation

POSITION: Contract until December 2027
EXPERIENCE: 68 Years related working experience
COMMENCEMENT: 01 April 2025
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- At least 6 years worth of experience using Csharp or similar MS technologies
- Experience in testing (manual or automated testing)
- Agile working experience advantageous
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Technical knowledge Required:
- Infrastructure Management (Cloud and onPrem)
- High level of skills in the Kubernetes Automation and Infrastructure
- Solid understanding of infrastructure as code principles and practical experience with Terraform or similar tools.
- Hands on experience with Docker containerisation and microservices architecture
- Solid understanding of monitoring and alerting practices (tools e.g Grafana Prometheus Elasticsearch) be able to develop new application metrics.
- Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter
ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and experience with GitOps tools like argoCD
- Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems internals and administration or indepth knowledge of the Unix networking stack
- Problem Management and Incident Management Proactive and Reactive
- Defect Management
- Change Management
- Optimise application performance.
- Strong understanding and troubleshooting skills of distributed services.
- Service Delivery Management
- Excellent communication skills and teamoriented work behaviour in a distributed team.
- Software development background (Csharp experience)
- Strong ability to understand and interpret Business needs and requirements with the ability to move concepts through to proposal and finally successful implementation.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and written) with both technical and nontechnical colleagues / users.
- Should be willing to deal with (talk to) our customers. In most cases they will be foreign customers and language barriers might exist.

ROLE:
- You will be a team member of a larger product team that focusses on the development and support of a several missioncritical components.
- You will be working on largescale faulttolerant systems and thrive to always improve the resiliency of our systems.
- You will work closely with the development team and the product owner and are responsible for the planning and coordination of all Design for Run activities.
- You will strive to improve the whole lifecycle of our services from inception architecture design through deployment and operating these missioncritical systems.
- Pair and work closely with developers in crossfunctional teams
