Position: Estimator Commercial and Residential Glazing
Location: Los Angeles Metropolitan Area

Job Description:
Client a leading provider of commercial and residential glazing solutions is seeking a detailoriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids for glazing projects ensuring that all scopes of work align with client requirements and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Estimation:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for glazing projects including materials labor and equipment.
- Analyze blueprints specifications and job proposals to determine the scope of work.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for materials.
2. Bid Preparation:
- Develop comprehensive bid proposals with clear scopes of work pricing and terms.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements industry standards and company policies.
3. Client Interaction:
- Collaborate with clients contractors and architects to clarify project details.
- Address questions or concerns regarding estimates and bids.
4. Internal Collaboration:
- Work closely with the project management team to transition awarded projects.
- Provide support in value engineering and project optimization to enhance profitability.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of estimates bids and communication with stakeholders.
- Regularly update management on bid progress and pipeline opportunities.
Qualifications:
Experience: 25 years in construction estimation preferably in glazing or a related trade.
Education: Bachelors Degree in Construction Management Architecture Engineering or a related field is preferred but not required.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in estimation software (e.g. Bluebeam PlanSwift or similar tools).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other project management tools.
- Familiarity with glass types hardware and other glazing materials is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
