Job Description
Position Summary and Primary Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of complex duties in wiring of all types of electric boxes and controls having a good working knowledge of electronics.
- Works in an efficient and safe manner.
- Works from wiring diagrams prototypes models or verbal instructions.
- Make conversions to existing electrical systems in a neat and orderly manner using necessary tools and test wiring arrangements.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications
A. Education
- High School diploma or GED.
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical systems and mechanical components.
- Ability to interpret complex instructions and technical drawings.
- Trade knowledge equivalent to 2 years plus 23 years of vocational training.
B. Experience
- Read and interpret technical drawings to determine materials and assembly instructions. Use soldering rivets wiring and support structures.
- Read and interpret technical schematics blueprints assemble circuit boards wiring harnesses and control panels.
- Knowledge of using hand and power tools such as wire cutters crimping tools and soldering irons.
- Exceeds all requirements of the basic electrical assembler position with over one year training in the assembler position or similar industry environment.
C. Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices is a plus.
- Lays out work sequence using material lists and blueprints.
- Prepares converted electric boxes and control and makes wiring installation to control boxes as required using such components parts as relays terminal blocks transformers and switches.
- Connects solders various wires to complex circuit according to wiring diagrams prototypes models or oral instructions using such tools as cordless drills wire cutters soldering iron pliers wrenches and screwdrivers.
- Maintain good housekeeping habits at all times.
- Conducts job performance in a safe manner.
