Job description
You develop software for a significant commercial software project collaborating as a member of a team proficient in Java development with the Spring Boot framework and Kafka. As a Principal Engineer you stay informed about relevant technology trends and developments. You will be reporting to the Sr. Director Software Development.
Requirements:
- As a Principal Engineer you stay informed about relevant technology trends and developments.
- Experience with multiple technologies and simultaneously working on multiple projects
- Current cloud technology experience with AWS (Kubernetes Fargate EC2 S3 Aurora Lambda Glue AWS Batch Athena).
- You have a solid proficiency in SQL
- Recent handson experience building and supporting commercial systems managing data and transactions including serverside development of Data Flow processes performing Data Enrichment and ETL processes Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes (CodeCommit CodeDeploy CodePipeline/Harness/Jenkins/GitHub Actions CLI BitBucket/Git).
- Knowledgeable and experienced with software and system patterns and their application in prior works
- Experience gathering and assessing specifications and requirements
- Experience supporting data science efforts
- Familiarity with creating and using Docker/Kubernetes applications
Qualifications :
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience leading development teams
- B.S. degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related discipline
- 10 years of software development experience building and testing applications following secure coding practices
