Job Description

Assystem is seeking a Data Analyst Engineer with a strong engineering background in either Electrical or Mechanical disciplines to join our team and be deployed on the Hinkley Point C project. This role is ideal for an engineer with a mindset highly attuned to project and data analytics capable of managing and interpreting the significant volumes of data generated by a largescale nuclear power generation project. The successful candidate will ensure data is structured and presented effectively to inform key decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with EDF and project teams to understand data requirements and ensure its relevance to project objectives.
  • Collect process and analyse large datasets generated by the Hinkley Point C project.
  • Develop dashboards and visualisations to communicate complex data clearly to stakeholders and decisionmakers.
  • Support project teams with datadriven insights for enhanced decisionmaking.
  • Ensure data integrity accuracy and compliance with project and regulatory standards.
  • Work closely with IT teams to optimise data management systems and tools.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose solutions through data analysis.

Qualifications :

Essential:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience in managing and interpreting complex datasets.
  • Ability to present data in a clear and meaningful way for various stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with engineering and construction projects preferably in a nuclear or regulated environment.
  • Problemsolving mindset with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python SQL or R.
  • Familiarity with data management systems.
  • Experience with large infrastructure projects would be beneficial.
