We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer / Architect (Java) to join our clients team. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the scalability performance and security of software solutions while driving innovation in architectural design and development practices. You will work closely with stakeholders including architects and developers to propose and implement improvements to existing systems and processes. As a leader and mentor you will provide technical guidance to development teams oversee code quality and best practices and ensure adherence to high standards throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure the scalability performance and security of software solutions aligning with organizational goals and industry best practices.
• Implement and enforce quality standards and procedures including quality gates code formatters check styles and other best practices.
• Drive innovation in architectural design and development practices proposing new approaches and technologies to improve existing systems.
• Propose and implement improvements to existing systems and processes focusing on optimizing performance and efficiency.
• Establish and manage development practices including static analysis unit testing integration testing and test coverage.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders including Team Architects and Developers to ensure alignment on development goals and architecture decisions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams fostering an environment of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Oversee code reviews ensuring adherence to best practices coding standards and appropriate test coverage.
• Lead and mentor a team of developers ensuring they are supported in their technical growth and professional development.

We are happy to hear from you if you have:

• Over 5 years of experience in software development with a strong emphasis on best development practices and architecture design.
• Proficiency in Java and other relevant technologies with a deep understanding of the Java ecosystem frameworks and tools.
• Experience with development lifecycle tools such as Bitbucket SonarQube and GitLab for version control static code analysis and continuous integration.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to identify and troubleshoot development and architectural challenges.
• Proven ability to optimize unit and integration testing processes and improve test coverage across the development lifecycle.
• Experience in architectural design and the ability to design scalable secure and maintainable systems.
• Excellent English communication and collaboration skills with the ability to engage with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders.
• University/college degree or equivalent combination of education certification and experience in a relevant field.
