Our Accounting team takes care of auditing and processing all financial transactions. This means we book all business transactions for the entire company and always keep an eye on our figures. As each team incurs its costs we are also constantly in close communication with the various teams involved in other departments. This is how we ensure the regularity of our department.
Our international team working with multinational entities owns the whole accounting booking topics and we work on delivering accurate numbers for the business.
As a Senior Accountant on our team you will own a multientity/intercompany focus for the Shiftmove group collaborating with your team you handle all tasks related to our digital financial accounting and ensure compliance with all legal and tax regulations while evaluating our processes and levelling up quality always.
We are split between our Berlin and our Wroclaw office but we often get together for team and company events.
What Youll Do
- You will own the monthly quarterly and annual financial close process for the local entities in various EU countries according to German GAAP and further IFRS
- You will handle and reconcile intercompany transactions in line with our transfer pricing framework
- You have an eye on tax compliance
- You will be part of our IFRS implementation team to ensure a smooth transition from local GAAP (HBG) to IFRS
- You will support external audits by preparing and providing the necessary information
- You will manage projects for groupwide standardization and harmonization of group accounting processes
Your Profile
- Completed degree in economics with a focus on accounting/finance or comparable education
- Relevant professional experience as a Senior Accountant in a multinational environment
- Experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliations
- First touchpoints with IFRS are a plus
- You enjoy multitasking and Handson approach
- A proactive and solutionoriented mindset with a keen eye for process improvement and strong communication skills
- Fluent in German and business English
