Roles and responsibilities

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. Min 18 to 20 yrs exp mechanical engineer
Proven experience in proposal management and development.
Strong analytical and project management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Manage the proposal development process from initiation to submission
Gather requirements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop proposals and Generation of Techno-commercial proposals which are accurate, cost effective and address specific customer needs
Preparation of Proposals and Bids
Understand Client Requirements: Collaborate with the sales or business development team to gather all necessary information from the client, including project specifications, scope, and timelines.
Technical Writing and Documentation: Prepare technical proposals, including design, scope of work, project methodology, and specifications. This also involves creating detailed technical documentation that explains the solution or approach in a clear and understandable manner.
Cost Estimation: Work with cost estimators and other departments to develop accurate cost estimates for the project. This includes material costs, labor, equipment, and any other resources required.
Prepare Timelines: Develop project timelines, defining the phases of work, milestones, and deadlines for the completion of tasks. Ensure that the proposed timeline aligns with client expectations.
Proposal Presentation: Compile all proposal materials into a professional presentation and submit the proposal to the client, ensuring all requested details are provided in a clear, compelling format.
Bid Management: Prepare, review, and submit bids for public and private sector projects, including responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) or Requests for Quotation (RFQs).

Desired candidate profile

• Track and manage proposal timelines, coordinating with contributors and stakeholders. Conduct post-proposal evaluations and analyses to identify areas for improvement. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in proposal management
• Review of the customer inquiries/RFQ documents, attend customer scope meetings and identify problem statements and customer requirements. Create superior technical solutions in-line with the project specifications and ensure proposals are commercially viable and competitive while mitigating and managing risk. Responsible for the compliance with the bid requirements.
• Define supply needs to supply chain/procurement to support the opportunities
• Taking fully responsibility of the assigned proposals , from initial contact through contract signing, working in close relationship with regional sales team.
• Ensure timely response to the inquiries and quick turn-around for the proposals.
• coordinate with Contracts and Negotiations and internal Finance and controls to address the project contractual needs during the bidding phase, all the way to the final contract closure
• Facilitate establishment of agreed Terms of Service with new clients Facilitate commercial reviews for approvals at the required levels.
• Provide regular feedback on activity status to the regional commercial leads and ensure timely data updates in the proposal management system. The Individual
• Good understanding of Oil & Gas facilities process Experience in working with EPCs and end users to define project requirements for both greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of various stages of the project lifecycle such as FEED, tendering, proposal, designing, engineering, procurement, execution, implementation, testing, construction & commissioning Able to identify and prepare all the risk in the contract evaluate the impact with consequences with proposed mitigation plan
