Job Description
Oaks Sunshine Coast Oasis Resort is excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated FullTime Commis Chef to join our team at the renowned Oaks and Vine restaurant. The role offers a balanced work schedule with shifts typically running from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm ensuring no late nights. You will enjoy a rotating roster including weekends off allowing you to maintain a healthy worklife balance. Key Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare and cook high quality food
- Supervise and train kitchen staff
- Assisting in creating menu items recipes and developing dishes
- Helping to create good communication between FOH and BOH
- Keep the kitchen organized and clean
Pay Rates:
Monday Friday: $27.17 per hour super penalties after 7pm
Saturday: $33.96 per hour super penalties after 7pm
Sunday: $40.76 per hour super penalties after 7pm
Qualifications :
To be successful in this role you will need to:
- Hold relevant Certificate III in cookery qualifications and have previous experience in a similar role.
- Have knowledge about Modern Australian Cuisine
- Have knowledge and understanding of HACCP and OH&S
- Be flexible to work a range of different shifts including weekends.
- Be able to work under pressure within a dynamic team environment.
- Be able to coach and motivate less experienced members of the kitchen team.
- Be selfmotivated and able to work without supervision.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
