Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our clients innovative team. A leading network of community development financial institutions (CDFIs) empowers underserved communities by expanding access to capital and financial services. In this role you will be responsible for managing the procurement process ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services in line with organizational needs and budgetary constraints. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying costeffective solutions negotiating contracts and maintaining strong relationships with vendors to support the organizations operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet the needs of internal departments and external stakeholders.

  • Analyze market trends and vendor performance to recommend optimal procurement solutions.

  • Collaborate with departments to assess procurement requirements and ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.

Vendor Management & Negotiation

  • Identify evaluate and engage suppliers to meet purchasing needs.

  • Negotiate prices terms and conditions with vendors ensuring cost savings and favorable terms for the organization.

  • Maintain positive relationships with suppliers resolving any issues or disputes promptly.

Purchasing & Contract Management

  • Manage the endtoend procurement process including issuing purchase orders reviewing contracts and ensuring delivery timelines are met.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual agreements industry regulations and organizational policies.

  • Prepare and review procurement documentation ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate orders to replenish stock in accordance with operational needs.

  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure smooth flow of goods and services from suppliers to endusers.

  • Manage inventory records and ensure proper storage and handling of goods received.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate procurement records including purchase orders contracts and vendor communications.

  • Prepare procurement reports for management tracking expenditures cost savings and vendor performance.

  • Assist with audits and compliance reviews as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes vendor management and contract negotiation.

  • Experience with procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Skills

  • Excellent negotiation communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Detailoriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
