Job Description

At Fairmont Scottsdale Princess our financial operations thrive with the commitment of Colleagues who model our values of Respect Integrity Teamwork and Empowerment. You are a multitasker and able to work independently performing a wide range of accounting accounts payable and general cashing tasks to include supporting other members of the team. 

Reporting to the Director of Credit & Group Billing responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:       

  • Handle and count large sums of money accurately to include inputting all cashiering data daily to prepare/calculate bank deposits cash clearing and over short.
  • Follow up on all cashier variances in accordance with LSOP.
  • Perform audits as needed.
  • Issue banks gift cards and vouchers as needed.
  • Responsibility for the onsite cash machine to include emptying the depository preparing deposits and handling break downs.
  • Prepare receive and audit change orders as needed.
  • Process invoices to include review coding verification obtaining approvals and entry.
  • Assist in receiving daily purchase orders.
  • Sales and use tax interpretation and application.
  • Monthly vendor statement reconciliations to include researching past due items.
  • Respond professionally and timely to all inquiries from external and internal customers regarding payments.
  • Assist in the month end reporting and procedures.
  • Accountable for contract management process updates and maintenance.
  • Perform filing and administrative tasks.
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures.
  • Follow all safety policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

  • 2 years in hospitality accounting or equivalent experience required
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications or relevant computer applications required
  • University/College degree in a related discipline an asset
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to multi task in a high speed environment
  • Attention to detail a must
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Remain calm and courteous at all times

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):        

  • Frequent sitting throughout shift
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
  • Occasional kneeling pushing pulling lifting climbing
