Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a detailoriented Clinical Data Entry Specialist to join our team and support clinical research efforts by accurately abstracting and entering data from source documents into electronic systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical data management excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Abstraction and Entry: Extract and enter clinical data from source documents into electronic databases with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform data verification and validation to ensure consistency and completeness of entered data.
  • Compliance: Follow Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines FDA regulations and HIPAA requirements to protect sensitive patient information.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the clinical research team including regulatory managers to resolve data discrepancies and clarify requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all data entry tasks and corrections performed.
  • Reporting: Assist in generating reports and summaries as needed to support clinical trials and research efforts.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate or Bachelors degree in Life Sciences Health Information Management or a related field preferred.

Experience:

  • 12 years of experience in data entry preferably in a clinical or research setting.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems (e.g. REDCap Medidata) is a plus.

Skills:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer proficiency including data entry software and Microsoft Office (Word Excel).
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
