Maintenance Supervisor

Salary: R520000 PA CTC
A manufacturing plant seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to control factory maintenance operations and resources contributing to the delivery of production targets and maintaining optimal standards of product quality in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities
Maintenance Operations:
- Perform effective reactive predictive and preventative maintenance on plant infrastructure and equipment.
- Coordinate firstline maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Issue and manage job cards including work permits for specific tasks.
- Conduct fault analysis (e.g. Root Cause Analysis 5 WHY 8D).
- Ensure equipment and work areas meet safety and housekeeping standards.
- Monitor and minimize equipment failures and downtime.
Compliance:
- Operate within established controls and procedures to ensure operational integrity.
- Identify and report risks or concerns to management.
- Adhere to Health Safety and Environmental regulations to mitigate risks.
- Monitor costs and minimize waste in compliance with regulations.
Customer Service:
- Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Address and resolve customer concerns efficiently.
Staff Supervision:
- Ensure employees have performance agreements and conduct regular appraisals.
- Identify staff development needs and create action plans.
- Promote ongoing training and address employee relations matters.
Financial Control:
- Contribute to budget preparation and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
- Monitor expenditure against budget identify costsaving opportunities and implement solutions.
Qualifications
- Certificate in a Technical or Maintenancerelated discipline (NQF 5).
- Trade Test (NQF 5).
- Certificate in First Line Management (FLMP) (NQF 5).
- Diploma in a Technical or Maintenancerelated discipline (NQF 6).
Technical Competencies
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite SAP ERP and other jobspecific software systems.
- Indepth knowledge of maintenance practices procedures and processes.
- Strong understanding of compliance with relevant legislation and safety regulations.
Experience
- Up to 5 years of experience in maintenance operations within a manufacturing environment including:
- 1 to 2 years at a supervisory level.
- Up to 3 years working shifts.
