About the team
Our department builds and maintains the foundational technology that empowers Allegro. We provide a modern efficient ecosystem for hundreds of international product teams ensuring Allegro is always available performant and secure. We manage everything from data centers and private cloud solutions to deployment pipelines SDKs and compliance tooling. In short we create the environment that enables Allegro employees to build products efficiently.
Within this department the Vita team is responsible for enhancing the overall Developer Experience. As part of our daily tasks we maintain and develop tools and libraries that support the development of Allegros platform code. We manage tools used daily by hundreds of engineers such as license servers CI/CD environments and artifact repositories. Thus an integral part of our work involves automating and monitoring these tools to ensure the fastest response to our internal clients. Additionally we enhance the efficiency of engineers work by providing libraries that enable seamless integration with available services and infrastructure.
We are looking for people who:
Have a strong programming foundation: Youre proficient in Java and/or Kotlin and you can apply your coding skills to develop custom solutions automate tasks and integrate with existing systems.
Have database skills: Youre comfortable working with various databases like Postgres MySQL MongoDB and Redis and you can use this knowledge to monitor database performance and health.
Have basic Ops skills: You have basic skills in Puppet and writing scripts (bash Python Go) and can apply it in practice to automate hosts management and monitoring.
Value engineering best practices: You advocate for clean code code review TDD and CI/CD to ensure the quality and maintainability.
Thrive in a collaborative environment: Youre a team player with strong communication skills and a positive attitude. Youre eager to share your knowledge and learn from others. You are comfortable collaborating closely with other teams and exploring new technologies.
