Job Description
The Visa Consulting and Analytics team is looking for a highperformance individual to join the team and play a key role in developing and delivering high impact projects across the Andean region. The potential candidate will support engagements with Visa Clients by developing delivering and implementing projects and solutionson behalf of issuers acquirers and merchants. The ideal candidate will support initiatives to promote sustainable and profitable growth thereby ensuring that Visa is both the preferred brand and unique business partner.
The ideal candidate is problem solver equipped with strong analytical & quantitative skills suited to address key strategic needs for Visas clients including issuers acquirers and merchants.
Adept at creative and critical thinking he can deconstruct problems and transform insights into large scale and stateoftheart solutions. Candidate must be quick learner with a strong sense of personal responsibility.
Responsibilities
Work with large volumes of data extract and manipulate large datasets using standard tools such as Hadoop Ecosystem Python PySpark Presto SQL etc.
Handson skills in cleaning manipulating analyzing and visualizing large data sets.
Data Cleansing/Wrangling This involve parsing and aggregating messy incomplete and unstructured data sources to produce data sets that can be used in analytics/predictive modeling.
Develop and validate advanced data mining tools algorithms and other capabilities to solve business problem.
Enhance and optimize codes that scale critical business processes.
Develop and validate advanced ML algorithms and other capabilities to solve business problem. Experience doing ML using R Python (scikitlearn etc.) or other similar software.
Find opportunities to create and automate repeatable analysis or build streamlined solutions for business consultant and Visas clients.
Support the implementation of complex models and data pipelines on large datasets.
Develop and deploy analytical models and techniques within the organization and VCAs clients including issuers acquirers and merchants.
Design and develop dashboards using Tableau or Power BI.
Utilize Visas data and analytical capabilities technology and industry expertise to develop standardize and implement the consulting analytical solutions.
Identify relevant market trends based on a deep analysis of payment industry Information. Interacting with several internal and external stakeholders for the strategic definition of analysis and initiatives.
Continuously develop and present innovative ideas to improve current business practices within Visa.
Communicate complex concepts and the results of the analysis in a clear and effective manner.
Support transfer technical knowledge to facilitate implementation of the business solution provided.
Document all projects developed and write other documentation as needed. Identify and share best practices for key topics.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 23 set days a week (determined by leadership/site) with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications:
2 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree OR 5 years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD)
Ability to come up with practical algorithms and write high quality code quickly for analyzing gigabyte to terabytescale data.
Experience in retail banking payments financial services and/or technology industries
Proven Handson experience in advanced analytics and statistical modeling including Linear Regression Logistic Regression Clustering methods Classification methods (Decision Trees/Random Forest) among others.
Experience using distributed computing technologies including Hadoop (MapReduce Pig and Hive) and Spark to write data analytic processing jobs both in batch and streaming against structured and unstructured data.
Experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI.
Skills in project management organizational and presentational skills.
Strong teamwork relationship management interpersonal skills and delivery oriented.
Ability to multitask various projects while meeting required deadlines.
Fluency in English (spoken/written).
