Job Description
IP Lawyer Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City)
Our client is a fullservice IP firm with a strong presence in Asia and is seeking a talented and driven IP Lawyer to join their growing team in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam. They provide comprehensive legal services across all IP areas including trademarks designs patents copyright anticounterfeiting and domain name management serving a diverse international client base.
About the Role:
As an IP Lawyer you will play a crucial role in our clients enforcement practice working closely with their Enforcement (ENF) team to protect each clients intellectual property rights in Vietnam. You will handle a diverse range of matters from advising clients on IP strategy to representing them in court.
Responsibilities:
- IP Strategy & Counseling: Analyze client IP portfolios provide strategic advice on IP protection and enforcement and prepare comprehensive legal opinions.
- Enforcement Actions: Manage and execute anticounterfeiting programs including market investigations online enforcement customs seizures and administrative actions.
- Litigation & Representation: Represent clients in IP litigation before Vietnamese courts and administrative bodies.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients providing regular updates and ensuring their needs are met.
- Market Intelligence & Liaison: Monitor market trends identify infringing activities and liaise with enforcement authorities (including customs and police).
- Legal Research & Analysis: Conduct indepth legal research and analysis to support enforcement strategies and client counselling.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with partners and other team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Vietnamese national with a law degree and qualification as an IP Agent or Lawyer in Vietnam.
- 46 years of experience in IP enforcement preferably within an international IP firm.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
- Strong understanding of Vietnamese IP law and practice.
- Excellent legal drafting research and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex cases and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Experience with customs enforcement and online brand protection is a plus.
- A proactive resultsoriented approach with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
