Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior IT Network Engineer to join our team and play a key role in managing maintaining and enhancing our organizations network infrastructure. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the organizations IT infrastructure including network devices like firewalls routers switches servers and storage systems.
- Configure maintain and troubleshoot network components such as VLANs routing protocols (BGP OSPF) NAT and VPNs.
- Ensure reliable and highperformance services including DHCP DNS and load balancing.
- Maintain network stability by optimizing routing switching and wireless network performance.
- Monitor and enhance network performance addressing any bottlenecks to ensure continuous reliability.
- Plan and optimize network capacity for future scalability and growth.
- Manage backup systems disaster recovery plans and failover procedures to ensure data protection and availability.
- Oversee storage solutions to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- Regularly maintain and troubleshoot servers including system updates package management and kernel improvements.
- Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard the IT infrastructure.
- Manage firewalls intrusion detection systems and VPN access controls.
- Conduct routine security risk assessments and enforce security policies to comply with industry standards.
- Lead a team of IT professionals including network engineers system administrators and support staff.
- Ensure continuous IT system availability by managing an oncall rotation and escalation process.
- Respond swiftly to critical infrastructure incidents.
- Foster a proactive team culture focused on monitoring preventive maintenance and continuous improvement.
- Plan and manage IT infrastructure projects including upgrades migrations and deployments.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure IT infrastructure aligns with the organizations goals.
- Effectively manage project budgets timelines and resources for infrastructurerelated initiatives.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in English (C1 level) with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management or a similar role.
- Certifications such as Azure Administration ITIL Foundation and/or CISSP would be advantageous.
- Extensive handson experience with firewalls routers switches and server management.
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP OSPF) NAT VLANs and network security best practices.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.
- Proficiency with Linux systems particularly Ubuntu.
- Experience managing a 24/7 IT support environment.
- Strong leadership communication and project management skills.
