Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with over 3 years of recent experience in designing and building healthcare projects. This role involves the design installation and management of mechanical systems within healthcare environments including generator systems safety systems imaging equipment CAT scan machines MRIs and other related medical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical systems for healthcare facilities ensuring compliance with local state and federal regulations.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of mechanical equipment and systems including generator systems safety systems imaging equipment CAT scan machines MRIs and other medical devices.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings specifications and technical reports.
- Conduct site assessments and evaluations to determine mechanical system requirements and ensure proper installation and operation.
- Collaborate with architects engineers contractors and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems into overall building designs.
- Perform load calculations short circuit analysis and coordination studies for mechanical systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams clients and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all mechanical systems meet safety quality and performance standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends codes standards and best practices in mechanical engineering and healthcare facility design.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals cost estimates and schedules.
- Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with a minimum of 3 years of recent experience in designing and building healthcare projects.
- Proven experience in the design and installation of mechanical systems within healthcare environments including generator systems safety systems imaging equipment CAT scan machines MRIs and other related medical equipment.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Revit and SKM or similar programs.
- Preferred experience incorporating construction codes and regulations into contract documents and show experience working with authorities having jurisdiction.
- Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Detailoriented with a commitment to producing highquality work.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fastpaced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
