Job Description

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with over 3 years of recent experience in designing and building healthcare projects. This role involves the design installation and management of electrical systems within healthcare environments including generator systems safety systems imaging equipment CAT scan machines MRIs and other related medical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for healthcare facilities ensuring compliance with local state and federal regulations.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems including generator systems safety systems imaging equipment CAT scan machines MRIs and other medical devices.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings specifications and technical reports.
  • Conduct site assessments and evaluations to determine electrical system requirements and ensure proper installation and operation.
  • Collaborate with architects engineers contractors and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into overall building designs.
  • Perform load calculations short circuit analysis and coordination studies for electrical systems.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams clients and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all electrical systems meet safety quality and performance standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends codes standards and best practices in electrical engineering and healthcare facility design.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals cost estimates and schedules.
  • Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with a minimum of 3 years of recent experience in designing and building healthcare projects.
  • Proven experience in the design and installation of electrical systems within healthcare environments including generator systems safety systems imaging equipment CAT scan machines MRIs and other related medical equipment.
  • Strong understanding of NFPA codes NEC and other relevant healthcare facility regulations and standards.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Detailoriented with a commitment to producing highquality work.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
