Aims Education is looking a for Surgical Technologist faculty / Clinical coordinator who can effectively assist in teaching labs and visit hospitals and clinical sites as a student preceptor. Hours are flexible and fulltime and parttime roles are available. Aims Education is an equal opportunity Employer.
Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree preferred minimum Associate Degree required
Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
CST or TSC (NCCT) certification required.
Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in the Surgical Technology field.
Experience in teaching clinical labs or clinical precepting in Operating Room
Individuals must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills customer service skills and be a great team player.
Responsibilities:
Advising students and teaching clinical labs and clinical sites
Visiting clinical sites and monitor the clinical internship component
Follow the lab syllabi and protocols set by the program director
Use various teaching methods and technology.
Organize labs training clinical component and assessment of various lab competencies.
Participate in faculty meetings advisory board meetings and make recommendations for books library and lab resources.
Adhere to the faculty policies and procedures.
Other academic duties assigned by the program director
Make regular clinical site visits and coordination with clinical site educators
Assist and Mentor students at their clinical sites and be a liaison between students and clinical site educators.
Assist students on clinical competency evaluations and required internship paperwork.
Participating in continuing education seminars Inservices professional development activities and maintain current knowledge and skills
