Job Title: Sr. Distribution Administrator
Shift: MF (7:00 AM 4:00 PM; or 7:30 AM 4:30 PM)

Position Summary:
The Freight and Carrier Invoice Auditor is responsible for the manual expensing of freight charges and any accessorial charges on Rail and Ocean bills of lading. This role involves auditing carrier invoices ensuring authorized amounts are approved for payment and providing clerical support to external carriers to resolve balance dues. Additionally the position includes the reconciliation and audit of outstanding charges and balance due statements for Rail Ocean Bulk Carrier CFS and Freight Forwarders which requires advanced research and intermediate Excel skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manually expense freight charges and accessorial fees on Rail and Ocean bills of lading.
- Audit carrier invoices approving authorized amounts for payment.
- Provide clerical support to outside carriers to resolve balance discrepancies and ensure timely resolution of dues.
- Reconcile and audit outstanding charges and balance due statements for assigned Rail Ocean Bulk Carrier CFS and Freight Forwarder accounts.
- Perform complex research to ensure accuracy in balance verification and charge reconciliation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external carriers to evaluate and resolve discrepancies.
- Prioritize and manage tasks effectively ensuring all assignments are completed accurately and within deadlines.
- Coordinate with team members and other departments to address and resolve issues.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: A high school diploma or higher is required; candidates currently pursuing a BA degree are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of office clerical experience. Experience in transportation supply chain or data collection/analysis is highly preferred.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must have professional phone etiquette for interaction with both internal contacts and external customers.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint). Intermediate Excel skills (e.g. working with formulas pivot tables and data analysis) are preferred.
