Job Description

Roles and responsibilities


Plan sales volumes and potentials of all customers in the assigned area.
Provide information for forecasts and planning.
Analyze the specific market conditions and build a sound market-related network of stakeholders.
Spot opportunities for local product and service portfolio solutions.
Prepare customer contact, and build and maintain a customer-focused network.
Prepare, coordinate, and negotiate proposals in cooperation with proposal management / other involved professionals and management.
Complete sales and revenue-related key reporting.
Act as a point of contact to customers in commercial matters and influence collaboration within the organization to secure customer support.
Communicate with clients to understand their needs and explain product value.
Building long-term relationships with clients based on trust and respect.
Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate fulfillment of client needs.
Collect and analyze data to learn more about consumer behavior.
Maintain updated knowledge of company products and services.
Resolve complaints and prevent additional issues by improving processes.
Identify industry trends.
1. Sales Strategy Development:
Develop Sales Plans: Create and implement effective sales strategies that align with the company’s overall objectives. The strategy should outline clear goals, sales targets, and tactics to meet those objectives.
Identify Market Opportunities: Research market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify new sales opportunities and ways to expand market share.
Set Sales Goals and KPIs: Establish individual and team sales targets, key performance indicators (KPIs), and performance metrics. Monitor progress and adjust strategies as necessary to meet targets.
2. Team Management and Leadership:
Lead and Motivate the Sales Team: Provide leadership, direction, and motivation to the sales team, ensuring they are equipped and empowered to meet their targets. Inspire and encourage sales reps to achieve individual and team goals.
Hire and Train Sales Staff: Recruit, hire, and onboard new sales team members. Provide continuous training and development to improve the skills, knowledge, and performance of the sales team.
Conduct Performance Reviews: Regularly evaluate the performance of the sales team, provide constructive feedback, and implement improvement plans where necessary. Recognize high performers and provide incentives to keep them motivated.


Desired candidate profile

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related disciplines.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales and Marketing preferably in transportation/infrastructure projects.
Strong networking within the industry and relevant government organizations in Saudi Arabia.
Fluency in both written and spoken English.
Excellent communication skills rounded by an outstanding business and growth mindset.
Target-driven personality with a focus on quality delivery.
Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build Strong Relationships with Key Clients: Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and accounts. Ensure that customers are satisfied and that their needs are being met, which may lead to repeat business and referrals.
Handle Major Accounts: In some cases, Sales Managers are directly responsible for managing high-value or strategic customer accounts. This includes negotiating contracts, solving issues, and ensuring long-term satisfaction.
Customer Retention: Focus on customer retention by identifying ways to improve customer experience, loyalty, and satisfaction. Develop strategies to address any issues customers may face and prevent churn.
Sales Operations and Execution:
Monitor Sales Performance: Track and analyze sales activities, including sales calls, meetings, conversions, and revenue. Use data-driven insights to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Manage Sales Pipeline: Oversee the sales pipeline and ensure that leads are effectively managed and followed up on. Guide the team through the sales process to ensure deals are closed efficiently.
Pricing and Quoting: Work with the finance or pricing team to establish pricing structures, discounts, and sales terms. Ensure that quotes are prepared accurately and in a timely manner for potential clients.
Forecasting: Provide accurate sales forecasts to management, helping the company plan for growth and allocate resources effectively.
