Responsible for positioning and marketing the SW-portfolio (Hacon and Sqills)
Interact with Saudi customers on their needs and wishes
Interact with the Siemens colleagues from HQ (SMO SW) on product developments and market introductions
Achieve sales targets in combination with colleagues from the sales department
Act as the contact person for SW-related topics for both the customers and HQ
1. Product Strategy and Vision:
Define Product Vision: Develop a clear and compelling product vision that aligns with the company's overall strategic goals. This vision should address customer pain points and provide value to the target audience.
Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, competitor products, and industry trends. Use data to inform product decisions and identify market opportunities.
Define Product Roadmap: Create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the product's key features, functionalities, and development phases. The roadmap should prioritize features based on business value, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
Align with Business Goals: Ensure the product strategy supports company objectives, such as revenue targets, user growth, and market positioning.
2. Product Development and Execution:
Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with engineering, design, and QA teams to define product requirements and ensure successful product delivery. Translate customer needs into detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Agile Methodology: Often, software product managers work in an agile environment, collaborating with the development team to prioritize and manage sprints, ensuring timely delivery of product features.
Feature Prioritization: Prioritize product features and enhancements, balancing customer needs, business value, and technical constraints. Use tools like Jira, Trello, or Asana for backlog management and sprint planning.
Release Planning: Plan and coordinate product releases, including identifying key milestones, deadlines, and resources needed. Work with engineering teams to ensure that features are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
3. Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:
Customer Feedback and Insights: Gather feedback from customers, user testing, surveys, and direct interactions to ensure the product is meeting their needs. Act as the voice of the customer within the company.
Stakeholder Communication: Regularly update internal stakeholders (e.g., marketing, sales, customer support, and leadership) about the product’s progress, new features, and key updates. Provide clear communication regarding timelines and expectations.
Customer Training and Support: Work with customer support and success teams to ensure users are trained on new features. Ensure that product documentation and training materials are created and easily accessible.
Bachelor's degree or MBA holder.
Minimum 5 years of experience in customer interaction, product and portfolio management, familiarity with SW products/licenses, and hardcore technology know-how are not required.
Capable of understanding functional wishes and translating them into technical / SW solutions.
Fluency in both written and spoken English.
Product Marketing and Go-to-Market Strategy:
Collaborate with Marketing: Work with the marketing team to develop go-to-market (GTM) strategies, positioning, and messaging for the product. Ensure that the product is marketed effectively to the target audience.
Sales Enablement: Provide the sales team with product knowledge, demos, and collateral to help them effectively sell the product to potential customers.
Product Launches: Coordinate product launches, ensuring smooth rollouts to customers. Oversee activities such as beta testing, launch communications, and post-launch analysis.
Performance Tracking and Continuous Improvement:
Monitor Product Performance: Track key product metrics (such as user engagement, conversion rates, customer satisfaction, etc.) to evaluate the product's success and identify areas for improvement.
Iterate and Improve: Based on feedback and data, continuously improve the product by identifying new features, enhancements, or fixes. Lead the process of refining the product post-launch to address issues or introduce new functionalities.
Measure KPIs: Use product KPIs such as customer retention, user engagement, and lifetime value (LTV) to assess the product’s success in achieving business goals.
