**This is a 12 year assignment. The initial contract end date will be 6/30/25 which is in line with our fiscal year end. We will then do a renewal contract for the period 7/1/25 6/30/26.
Job Overview
The Oracle Cloud architect proactively and holistically designs deploys and supports OCI infrastructure and applications optimizing prioritization and collaboration with crossfunctional teams to achieve project outcomes.
They understand the concepts of business goals objectives and business outcomes business capabilities valuestreams and business processes and their importance in cloud architecture. Cloud architect provides the necessary leadership analysis and design tasks related to support the development of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards.
Scope of Activities
Credentials and Experience
A bachelors degree in computer science informationtechnology engineering system analysis or a related study or equivalent experience
A minimum of five years of experience Oracle Cloud development disciplines including technical or infrastructure architecture network management application development middleware database management and security
Experience with implementing Oracle Cloud Fusion as a Cloud Architect
Good understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends and the practical application of existing and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models
Good understanding of product management agile principles and development methodologies and capability of supporting agile teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities impact and risks taking account of technical and architectural debt
Experience developing architecture blueprints strategies and roadmaps
Identify and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services. Provide support for incident management and disaster recovery
Skills
Expertise in cloud computing concepts and architectures.
Proficiency in cloud service deployment management and optimization.
Strong understanding of security practices and compliance.
Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g. Terraform Ansible)
Knowledge of networking storage and database services in the cloud
Data savvy with knowledge of various aspects of Oracle Cloud architecture like integration network and security
Good understanding of information principles and processes
Understanding and knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies (such as waterfall spiral agile software development rapid prototyping incremental synchronize and stabilize and DevOps)
Understanding and knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and information technology infrastructure library (ITIL)
Handson experience in different modeling languages (such as UML and ArchiMate)
Understanding of IT standards and controls
Industry experience in applying application development methodologies and infrastructure and network architecture
Proven analytical planning organizational and technical and skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work with developers in an outsourced environment
