Job Description

Job Title:

ICU Doctor (Associate Consultant)


Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated ICU Doctor (Associate Consultant) to join our esteemed healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of postgraduate experience and demonstrate exceptional expertise in critical care medicine. Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care:
    • Deliver highquality medical care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
    • Monitor and manage patient conditions ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Clinical Expertise:
    • Conduct detailed patient assessments including historytaking physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations.
    • Perform and interpret diagnostic tests including imaging blood work and other relevant investigations.
  • Emergency Management:
    • Provide rapid response and emergency care to stabilize critically ill patients.
    • Execute lifesaving procedures such as intubation central line placement and advanced ventilator management.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration:
    • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including nurses respiratory therapists and other specialists to ensure holistic patient care.
    • Participate in case discussions and contribute to the development of comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Quality and Compliance:
    • Adhere to hospital policies protocols and clinical guidelines to maintain the highest standards of patient safety and care.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in critical care.
  • Documentation and Communication:
    • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records including treatment plans progress notes and discharge summaries.
    • Effectively communicate with patients families and healthcare teams to ensure clarity and transparency in care delivery.

Qualifications:

  • MBBS DA or MD / DNB / Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine.
  • A minimum of 5 years of postgraduate experience in critical care settings.
  • Strong clinical and procedural skills with a commitment to evidencebased practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patientcentered approach to care
