About the Job
We are seeking a skilled and experienced tax manager who will work in a Shared Service Centre ( SSC ) environment and based in Malaysia. Reporting to Group Tax based in Singapore this role will mainly lead all the tax functions of the group s various Malaysian affiliates as well as play a key role in developing group s transfer pricing compliance team within the SSC.
Key Responsibilities
- Tax Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement local tax strategies to align with the group s tax objectives and overall business goals. Coordinate and support project planning projects/initiatives with Group Tax.
- Tax Compliance and Reporting: Responsible for all tax aspects of the group s affiliates in Malaysia to ensure compliance with all tax regulations and reporting requirements. Manage and organize the preparation and submission of accurate and timely tax returns.
- Transfer Pricing: Support Group Tax to build up a Centre of Excellence ( COE ) of transfer pricing compliance team within the SSC who are responsible for the recurring preparation and review of transfer pricing compliance documentation of various jurisdictions. Support the adhoc transfer pricing projects and benchmarking analysis.
- Tax Dispute: Manage tax audits and disputes with tax authorities in Malaysia including but not limited to the negotiation with revenue authorities and resolving the issues effectively.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor or above degree preferably with finance accounting law or related majors; CPA qualification is a plus
- At least 8year experience in dedicated tax areas with a focus on Malaysia
- Strong analytical and communication skills to deal with both external and internal parties
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
