Job Description
- Conduct preliminary field surveys and document findings.
- Prepare comprehensive packages including original drawings site photos and asbuilt drawings following field surveys.
- Develop preliminary design drawings by interpreting sketches from the Design Director and translating them into effective communication tools.
- Assist in creating renders/CGIs in collaboration with Visual Designers when required.
- Develop plans elevations and sections during the schematic phase incorporating details such as lighting design ceiling design and material specifications.
- Prepare detailed drawings for furniture and custom items including bar backdrops cabinets kitchens TV units and statement sinks.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure material selection aligns with design standards while maintaining durability and quality.
- Transfer all design information to the Technical Department and coordinate throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare material boards design presentations and FF&E selections for review by the Design Manager.
- Conduct site visits to ensure accurate design implementation.
- Address contractors queries promptly in coordination with the technical team.
- Apply value engineering to balance budget constraints with maintaining the projects essence.
- Research local and international markets to stay updated on design trends.
- Maintain indepth knowledge of materials availability and suitability.
- Stay informed about the status of assigned projects.
- Adhere to the company s design standards materials templates and formats.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D).
- Familiarity with graphic design programs such as Photoshop Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
