IT Applications Manager

Roles and responsibilities

The IT Applications Supervisor will oversee the IT Applications team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day

management, development, and enhancement of business applications. This role

will support operational stability and drive application improvements, aligning

with the organization’s digital transformation strategy. Reporting directly to

the Digital Transformation Manager, this position ensures that IT applications

are effectively optimized and continuously improved to meet business needs.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

● Supervise the IT Applications team, overseeing

daily operations, development activities, and application enhancements.

● Work closely with the Digital Transformation

Manager to understand business needs and translate them into efficient

digital solutions.

● Coordinate the integration, support, and

continuous development of applications, particularly Microsoft Dynamics,

Oracle Fusion ERP and other critical systems and platform.

● Ensure timely resolution of operational issues, collaborating with the technical

team to troubleshoot and resolve complex application problems.

● Provide support to the technical operations team in resolving complex problems with

the developed applications.

● Work closely with services providers and stakeholders to implement the various development activities

and ensure their completion in an efficient and effective manner.

Development & Enhancement:

● Lead the team in designing, developing, and enhancing application functionalities to

align with business goals and operational requirements.

● Supervise development projects, from concept through to deployment, ensuring adherence

to design specifications, timelines, and best practices.

● Provide expertise in front-end and back-end development, ensuring solutions are

scalable, responsive, and meet UX/UI standards.

● Oversee API integrations, database management, and the deployment of web-based and

mobile applications, using tools such as Angular, Bootstrap, and Xamarin.

● Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and programming languages to apply

innovative solutions to application development and improvement.

Testing & Quality Assurance:

● Lead testing activities for new applications and system enhancements, ensuring

functional reliability before rollouts.

● Analyze testing results, identify problem areas, and work with the team to deliver

quick fixes and ensure full functionality of applications.

● Ensure cybersecurity and compliance standards are maintained throughout the

development process, working closely with the cybersecurity team.

Collaboration & Vendor Management:

● Collaborate with internal teams, including technology strategy and enterprise

architecture, to ensure development projects align with broader IT goals.

● Work closely with external service providers to manage development tasks, ensuring

the completion of projects to the highest quality standards.

● Draft Statements of Work (SOW) and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for IT application

projects, clearly defining scope, deliverables, and timelines for vendors.

● Complete all procedures related to vendor management, ensuring compliance with

contractual obligations (COC) and the seamless delivery of services.

● Manage the invoicing process for suppliers, verifying that services are delivered

according to agreements before approving payments.

● Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and communication for all development and

enhancement projects to maintain transparency and accountability.

Desired candidate profile

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or any other relevant field

Other Related Skills:

1) Have skills in integrations such as API integration.

2) The candidate should know the business requirements, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, client

script, and ASP.NET programming language.

3) Frontend apps Angular framework and responsive using bootstrap.

4) Xamarin for the IOS or Android

5) Oracle fusion DB

6) Microsoft Dynamic Back End Development

Required Years of Experience:

Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in a similar role or function
Application Management and Support:
System Monitoring: Oversee the performance and availability of key applications, ensuring they meet the organization's needs and operational requirements.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Act as the point of contact for application-related issues, ensuring timely resolution of technical problems, system bugs, or performance issues.
Application Maintenance: Ensure that applications are regularly updated, patched, and upgraded to maintain security, functionality, and compatibility with other systems.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with software vendors, ensuring proper licensing, support, and updates for third-party applications.
Team Leadership and Supervision:
Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of IT professionals who handle the day-to-day support and administration of enterprise applications. This may include application analysts, support technicians, and developers.
Task Assignment and Prioritization: Delegate tasks effectively within the team, balancing workloads and ensuring that project deadlines and service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Training and Development: Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to team members on new technologies, best practices, and software updates. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
