Responsible for managing and implementing procurement
operations in accordance with the Government Tenders and Procurement System and
the “Etimad” platform, ensuring that the needs of the government entity are met
within the specified time frame and with the best possible quality, while
ensuring compliance with government regulations and systems.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
Follow up and complete the purchase processes for the
required materials and services through the "Etimad" platform and
ensure that the requirements are met according to the government tenders and
procurement system.
Dealing with suppliers:
Communicating with approved suppliers to ensure the
availability of the required products and services with the required quality
and specifications.
Preparing and submitting offers:
Preparing and submitting the required offers and documents
through the "Etimad" platform to comply with the government
procurement regulations and systems.
Review and audit:
Reviewing the documents and contracts related to procurement
to ensure their compliance with government regulations.
Contract management:
Follow up on contracts and ensure that suppliers implement
the terms and conditions of the contracts according to the specified timetable.
Reports:
Preparing periodic reports on procurement activities and
submitting them to senior management.
Internal coordination:
Working with different departments to meet their procurement
needs and ensure that operations run smoothly.
1. Identifying Procurement Needs:
Assessing Requirements: Work closely with various departments within the organization (e.g., production, operations, IT) to understand their needs for goods and services. This includes determining product specifications, quantity requirements, and delivery timelines.
Demand Forecasting: Anticipate future procurement needs based on the organization’s strategic objectives, seasonal demands, and operational requirements.
2. Supplier Selection and Management:
Identifying Suppliers: Research and identify potential suppliers that can meet the organization’s procurement needs. This involves evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and reputation.
Supplier Evaluation: Conduct supplier assessments, including performance reviews, financial stability checks, and market reputation. Regularly monitor and assess supplier performance to ensure they meet agreed-upon standards.
Building Relationships: Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth negotiations, issue resolution, and long-term partnerships.
Supplier Negotiations: Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure the organization receives competitive pricing and high-quality goods or services.
Experience ranging from 2 to 4 years in the field of
procurement, with previous experience working with government agencies.
Knowledge and experience:
Advanced knowledge of the government tenders and procurement
system.
Comprehensive familiarity with the "Etimad"
platform and managing procurement operations through it.
The ability to understand and interpret contracts and legal
conditions related to procurement.
Skills:
Effective communication skills with suppliers and
stakeholders.
Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
Accuracy and attention to detail in preparing and reviewing
documents and proposals
Ability to work in a fast-changing environment with multiple
tasks that require coordination between several parties inside and outside the
organisation
