Roles and responsibilities
1. Teaching Responsibilities:
- Lesson Planning and Preparation: Design and prepare engaging lessons that meet the needs of students at various levels of language proficiency. Lessons should be well-structured and include a variety of activities (e.g., speaking exercises, reading comprehension, vocabulary building, writing tasks) to develop all aspects of language.
- Classroom Instruction: Deliver lessons on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Utilize effective teaching methods and techniques to engage students in learning and help them improve their language skills.
- Adapting to Student Needs: Tailor teaching methods to accommodate the diverse learning styles, abilities, and cultural backgrounds of students. Provide extra support for struggling students and challenge advanced learners.
- Active Engagement and Participation: Create an interactive and dynamic classroom environment. Encourage student participation in discussions, debates, role-playing, and group activities to enhance language fluency and confidence.
- Language Proficiency Focus: Help students develop language proficiency in all four core areas: speaking, reading, writing, and listening. Foster fluency, accuracy, and confidence in using English in both academic and real-life situations.
- Incorporating Technology: Use educational technology (e.g., digital learning platforms, language apps, multimedia tools) to enhance lessons, making learning more interactive and engaging.
2. Assessment and Evaluation:
- Monitor Student Progress: Regularly assess student progress through tests, quizzes, assignments, and class participation. Track improvements in their language skills and identify areas that need more focus.
- Provide Feedback: Offer constructive and timely feedback to students on their performance. Encourage self-reflection and help students set goals for improvement.
- Grading and Record Keeping: Grade assignments, projects, and exams fairly and consistently. Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and any other relevant information.
- Formative and Summative Assessments: Design assessments that measure both ongoing progress (formative) and overall achievement (summative), ensuring that they align with learning objectives and language benchmarks.
3. Classroom Management:
- Establish Clear Expectations: Set clear expectations for behavior, participation, and work completion at the start of each course. Ensure that students understand the goals of each lesson and their role in achieving those goals.
- Create a Positive Learning Environment: Foster a classroom environment where students feel comfortable to speak, ask questions, and make mistakes without fear of judgment. Create a culture of respect, inclusivity, and active learning.
- Address Disruptions: Effectively handle disruptions and manage classroom behavior to ensure a productive and respectful learning space for all students.
- Encourage Student Motivation: Inspire students to stay motivated and committed to their learning goals. Use varied teaching methods and incorporate materials that appeal to students’ interests and life experiences.
Desired candidate profile
1- The applicant must be a Saudi national.
-2- The applicant must have obtained all his academic qualifications from Saudi universities or recognized universities.
-3 The applicant for the position of (language teacher) must have a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in the English language with a grade of (very good or higher).
-4 The applicant must have a professional license for educational positions.
-5 The applicant must have a score of 5.5 or more in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or its equivalent international tests, with the exception of those who have obtained a master's degree from foreign universities in countries whose native language is English.
-6 The applicant must attach the "equivalency certificate" issued by the Ministry of Education for the academic qualifications he obtained from non-Saudi universities.
-7 The study system for the applicant in all stages (bachelor's, master's) must be full-time and full-time.
-8 It is preferable for the applicant to have previous teaching experience in universities or educational institutes.
-9 There must be an extension of specialization between the academic degrees (bachelor's and master's) .
-10 The applicant must provide the correct data matching the official documents and attachments required during the application period.
-11 Attend and pass the requirements and conditions of the department (written exams, proficiency in English)
