  • Laboratory Instruction: Supervise students in practical labs where they can learn experimental pharmacology techniques, such as testing drug efficacy, pharmacokinetic analysis, and receptor binding assays.
  • Curriculum Development: Design and develop course materials, syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments. Update and refine curricula to reflect the latest advancements in pharmacology and clinical applications.
  • Assessments and Grading: Evaluate students through exams, quizzes, assignments, lab reports, and presentations. Provide feedback on academic performance and offer guidance on improving their understanding of pharmacology.

  • Supervision of Graduate Students and Research: Mentor graduate students or postdoctoral fellows in their research, providing guidance on experimental design, data interpretation, and scientific writing.

3. Clinical and Applied Pharmacology (if applicable):

  • Clinical Teaching: If part of a medical or healthcare training program, teach pharmacology as it relates to clinical practice, covering topics like drug interactions, adverse drug reactions, and personalized medicine.
  • Drug Therapy Management: In clinical settings, assist with the application of pharmacological principles to patient care, including drug selection, dosing, and monitoring for adverse effects in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Toxicology and Drug Safety: Focus on the safety profile of medications, studying the toxic effects of drugs and teaching students about how to manage and prevent drug-related toxicity.

4. Administrative and Service Responsibilities:

  • Departmental Service: Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and service roles related to curriculum development, faculty recruitment, and overall department management.
  • Curriculum Review and Evaluation: Help review and improve the pharmacology curriculum, ensuring it aligns with current research, clinical practices, and advances in the field of pharmacology.
  • Academic and Professional Committees: Serve on committees for student admissions, academic progress, or accreditation, contributing to institutional development and policy-making.
