Job Description
We have a great opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel who will provide expert legal advice and support on a wide range of commercial transactions predominantly for our Supply Chain business. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex legal issues.
Responsibilities & Requirements
Legal Support:
- Provide strategic legal advice to senior management and other personnel within the organisation.
- Draft and review a variety of commercial agreements.
- Provide legal advice on contract interpretation risk management and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts align with business objectives and mitigate potential risks.
- Stay updated on relevant legal developments and support compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures.
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel and other thirdparty advisors
Qualifications :
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent; admission to practice law in Australia.
- Current Australian Practising Certificate.
- Minimum of 8 years of postqualification experience in commercial/corporate law preferably within the energy or industrial sector.
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements with a particular focus on infrastructure/supply chain related contracts.
- Expertise in competition/consumer law.
- Experience in construction law.
- Experience in mergers & acquisitions joint ventures and major projects.
- Experience with advising on complex regulatory matters and frameworks.
- Strong analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- High level of integrity professionalism and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently by selfmanaging workloads and projects and also be team focused
