Job Description

As a Line of Business Expert for Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling under SC PGA have indepth knowledge of SAP PP/DS experience with production planning and a strong understanding of business processes in manufacturing. This role involves designing implementing and optimizing SAP PP & PP/DS solutions to enhance our production planning and scheduling processes. The candidate will work closely with crossfunctional teams including production supply chain and IT to ensure effective and efficient use of SAP PP/DS to meet business objectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

SAP SME:

  • SAP Support and Troubleshooting

  • User Support: Act as the primary point of contact for SAP PP/DSrelated queries and issues.

  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for SAP PP/DS solutions including troubleshooting and resolving issues.

  • Collaboration and Escalation: Collaborates with others such as SMEs Module Leads Consultants or BITS team to resolve complex issues that require specialized expertise

 

Any role with SAP access:

  • Ensure the accurate and realtime execution of tasks related to the process/es they are responsible for including the recording of information and report generation in the designated forms and platforms (e.g. SAP)

  • Integrate with other parties/ functions whose processes are interfaced with their processes (to enable alignment efficient flow of the process and effective implementation of controls)

Focuses on the Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling SAP Processes

 

OpCM Representation:

  • Operational Change Management

  • PM ERP Implementation Methodology: Leads the development and execution of detailed implementation plans for proposed changes in the system (e.g. change requests facilitation) monitoring progress against predefined metrics and ensuring timely and effective adjustments based on evaluation findings. (Note: Applicable only to OpCM Reps SMEs)

  • Leading Change: Guides the identification of organizational needs for change defining SMART objectives creating comprehensive change management plans implementing effective training programs (e.g. UAT) and ensuring sustained integration of change into organizational culture

  • Managing Resistance: Focuses on developing and executing effective communication plans ensuring clarity of change messages tailored to diverse audiences. Additionally it also involves identifying sources of resistance implementing strategies to reduce it facilitating transparent communication building support coalitions and celebrating successes in the team

 

Business Process Analysis and Improvement:

  • Analyze current business processes related to production planning and detailed scheduling.

  • Identify gaps inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement in production planning processes.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement process improvements and best practices.

 

Process Design and Redesign:

  • Develop and design futurestate processes that align with SC PGA goals best practices and industry standards

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define process requirements create process maps and design processes aligned with SAP fit to standard

 

Process Optimization:

  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to streamline operations reduce costs and enhance productivity

  • Use Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies to drive efficiency and eliminate waste

 

Change Management:

  • Facilitate change by effectively communicating process changes benefits and impacts to stakeholders

  • Collaborate with the SC PGA leadership and crossfunctional teams to ensure smooth process transition and adoption

  • Performance Measurement and Metrics:

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of SC processes

  • Establish reporting mechanisms to monitor process performance and identify areas for further improvement

Process Documentation and Training:

  • Create and maintain process documentation including process flows blueprints system navigation documents and training materials

  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure effective understanding and adherence to new processes

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other SAP modules (e.g. MM IM EWM SD QM) to ensure seamless integration and data consistency.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to manage system upgrades patches and other technical activities.

  • Partner with supply chain production and logistics teams to align SAP PP/DS functionalities with business processes.

  • Provide expertise and guidance on SAP PP/DS capabilities functionality and best practices.

 

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements within the SAP PP/DS landscape.

  • Conduct regular system health checks performance monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality.

  • Stay updated on the latest SAP PP/DS developments and trends to introduce innovative solutions.

 

System Administration and Training:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including business process flows functional specifications test cases and user manuals.

  • Provides training and support to endusers ensuring they are proficient in using SAP PP/DS functionalities.

  • Develop and maintain documentation including process flows training materials and system configurations.

  • The line of business experts helps ensure SAP System issues are monitored for resolution and closure

 

System Administration and Training:

  • Conducts refreshers training to ensure knowledge retention and sustainability


Qualifications :

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration process engineering or a related field. Additional certifications or training in process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) are preferred

 

Experience:

  • Strong understanding of production planning scheduling and manufacturing processes.

  • Proven experience with SAP PP/DS configuration customization and integration with other SAP modules.

  • Proven experience as a business process expert or process improvement specialist preferably within a Supply Chain SAP Modules and Processes or similar environment

  • Strong knowledge of business process analysis design and optimization methodologies.

  • Proficiency in process mapping and documentation tools (e.g. Visio Draw.io)

  • Familiarity with process improvement frameworks such as Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and analyze data identify trends and make datadriven recommendations

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate workshops interviews and presentations

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to plan organize and execute process improvement initiatives

  • Change management expertise including the ability to influence and drive organizational change

  • Proficiency in using data analytics tools and process mining software is a plus.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels

  • Proactive and resultsoriented approach with a focus on achieving process excellence and driving continuous improvement
