Job Description

Our Client is a trading company based in Nigeria that specializes in the exportation of high quality raw cocoa beans and cashew nuts. Due to expansion they are in need of a Strategy & Transformation Manager.

Location: Lagos

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in the development of the company s shortterm and longterm strategic plans.
  • Translate highlevel strategic goals into actionable plans and initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the implementation of strategic plans to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide regular updates and recommendations to senior management on strategy progress and adjustments.
  • Conduct detailed research on market trends customer behavior and industry best practices.
  • Analyze competitor strategies and identify potential opportunities or threats.
  • Develop comprehensive market intelligence reports to guide decisionmaking.
  • Collaborate with the Strategy Director to anticipate changes in the competitive landscape and recommend strategic adjustments.
  • Identify new business opportunities and assess their feasibility and alignment with company goals.
  • Support the Strategy Director in partnership discussions and negotiations.
  • Design and maintain performance dashboards to monitor the progress of key initiatives.
  • Develop and present periodic performance reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all reports are datadriven accurate and actionable.
  • Propose strategies to address underperforming areas and capitalize on successes.
  • Act as a liaison between the Strategy Director and departmental heads to ensure clear communication of objectives.
  • Work with Operations Finance and other Shared Services teams to align functional goals with the company s overall strategy
  • Identify inefficiencies in existing processes and recommend innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement process improvements that enhance productivity.
  • Track the impact of implemented improvements and report on measurable benefits.
  • Propose new approaches or technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Economics Strategy or related fields; MBA or equivalent
  • postgraduate qualification would be an added advantage.
  • 5 years in strategic planning management consulting or a similar role with demonstrated project
  • management experience.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. Excel Tableau Power BI).
  • Experience within the commodities trading space will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of strategy frameworks (e.g. SWOT Porter s Five Forces).
  • Expert knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word Excel PowerPoint etc.)
