Job Description

Position: SOC Technical Writer
Location: Des Moines IA (50319)
Client: State of Iowa
Duration: 12 Months

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced SOC Technical Writer to provide documentation support and standardization for the Security Operations Center (SOC). The successful candidate will focus on developing key incident response documentation and enhancing communication across technical and nontechnical audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and standardize Computer Security Incident Response Plan (CSIRP) and SOC Incident Playbooks.
  • Create and standardize incident reports and RACI grids.
  • Provide business analysis and process improvement support for SOC operations.
  • Track tasks and manage service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to elicit requirements and document functional specifications.

Required Skills:

  • Proven technical writing experience in a Security Operations Center environment (2 years).
  • Strong organizational skills with a detailoriented approach (4 years).
  • Ability to translate technical information for diverse audiences (4 years).
  • Excellent writing skills including grammar punctuation and clarity (4 years).
  • Experience in project management and conflict resolution (4 years).
