Job Description

Position: Technical Specialist Junior
Location: Online (Locals preferred)
Client: State of North Carolina
Duration: 12 Months

Job Description:
We are seeking a Technical Specialist with over 10 years of experience to enhance and maintain a missioncritical application. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in application development and architecture and will work on analyzing designing coding and testing enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance a custom PowerBuilder application for construction project management.
  • Analyze and design data windows to replace outdated spreadsheet formats.
  • Code and test bug fixes and functional enhancements for various applications and interfaces.
  • Collaborate with executivelevel business users and technical experts to deliver highquality solutions.
  • Maintain and develop interfaces with Java C# and C.

Required Technical Skills:

  • 10 years of PowerBuilder development experience (PB10 or newer).
  • Strong SQL proficiency (experience with Sybase or any database platform).
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Suite especially Excel.
  • Proven ability to work in a remote software development environment.
  • Strong analytical conceptual and technical skills along with effective communication abilities.
