Job Description
Role: Senior Technical Specialist
Location: Richardson/Dallas TX
Fulltime
Roles & responsibilities:
- As a Platform Engineer for a diversified Data team you will be responsible for developing and managing platform infrastructure to support our data development and deployment processes.
- You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines managing Snowflake data infrastructure leveraging Python for automation and scripting in the Data platform ecosystem and collaborating with various system team to maintain and troubleshoot different tools and services.
Python Scripting & Automation:
- MUST HAVE experience in writing python for data pipelines automation and integration. Write maintain and optimize Python scripts for automation tasks data integration monitoring and other operational needs.
- Use Python to automate repetitive tasks enhance platform capabilities and ensure smooth operations of infrastructure processes.
CI/CD Pipeline Development:
- MUST BE proficient in Git Azure DevOps Design implement and maintain efficient and scalable CI/CD pipelines to automate the testing integration and deployment of applications.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate the pipelines into their workflows ensuring rapid reliable software releases.
- Continuously optimize and improve the CI/CD process to enhance speed security and reliability.
Collaboration & Troubleshooting:
- MUST HAVE experience in leading or working in a cross functional env.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including software developers data engineers and DevOps to troubleshoot and resolve issues in the platform environment.
- Ensure uptime performance and security of platform services responding to incidents and implementing proactive monitoring solutions.
Snowflake:
- MUST HAVE 35 years of experience with any Cloud Database.
- Snowflake experience is a plus.
- Knowledge on new and upcoming features in snowflake is a plus.
- Manage and administer the snowflake or any other cloud database including user provisioning security monitoring and maintenance of the environment.
- Implement best practices in data governance security and performance optimization on cloud databases.
- Track vendor releases try new features and providing a comparative study on it.
- Work closely with data engineers and analysts to ensure Snowflake is operating efficiently and meeting business needs.
Airflow:
- MUST HAVE understanding of apache airflow or managed workflow in AWS and different implementation
Mandatory Skills: PYTHON
Desirable Skills: CI/CD PIPELINES SNOWFLAKE
