Job Title: Manufacturing Development Engineer I
Location: Camarillo CA
Duration: 1 Year Possible Extension
What You ll Do:
As a Manufacturing Development Engineer I you will be involved in the design development and improvement of manufacturing processes and systems to enhance productivity quality and efficiency. You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to support manufacturing operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Functions:
- Participate in the design and development of manufacturing processes methods and systems to meet production goals and quality standards.
- Collaborate with product design teams to ensure manufacturability and scalability of new products providing input and recommendations for process improvements.
- Conduct feasibility studies and analyses to evaluate manufacturing processes identify opportunities for improvement and implement costeffective solutions.
- Assist in the implementation of new manufacturing technologies equipment and automation systems to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.
- Support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting process issues conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including process instructions work procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in crossfunctional teams to support new product introductions (NPI) and ensure a smooth transition to production.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- 13 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related role.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes techniques and principles.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD) and manufacturing software/tools.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in crossfunctional teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fastpaced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies (e.g. Kaizen 5S Value Stream Mapping).
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma DOE).
- Knowledge of manufacturing quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO 9001 AS9100).
- Experience with manufacturing process simulation software (e.g. Simul8 Arena).
- Certification or training in manufacturing engineering or related fields
