- They interpret these designs to measure and cut materials precisely.
- Accurate measurement and cutting of wood plywood drywall and other materials are essential.
- Carpenters use various tools such as tape measures saws chisels and power tools to cut and shape materials according to specifications.
- Carpenters construct and install frameworks for buildings including floors walls and roofs.
- They may create temporary supports such as scaffolding to aid in the construction
- Carpenters install windows doors cabinets countertops and other fixtures.
- They also build staircases railings and furniture pieces as part of their broader carpentry skills.
