Job Description

We are Hiring Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Patient Flow to a leading Nursing Home in Ireland.
Responsibilities
We are Hiring Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Patient Flow to a leading Nursing Home in Ireland.
Responsibilities
- To ensure that the referral admission and discharge procedures are followed at all times.
- Conduct a complete clinical examination of each patient referral either onsite or over the phone as necessary.
- To assign patients to the most appropriate ward/bed available to ensure a safe standard of nursing care.
- Monitor bed occupancy and provide daily updates to upper management. Implement effective controls to monitor assess and report on the delivery criteria for bed management.
- Accept full responsibility for the effectiveness of service delivery.
- To coordinate tasks with diverse team members during clinical assessments to ensure referral accuracy and to develop an appropriate holistic plan of care for the patient.
Requirements
- Must have experience as CNM / ADON
- Must be registered with NMBI
- Organisational managerial and motivational skills
- Degree in nursing or eligible for registration under relevant EU directives.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a senior management position within an acute hospital environment or TCU.
- Evidence of continual professional improvement.
- Excellent people skills
- Thorough knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations
- Excellent Interpersonal & Communication Skills
- Computer Skills
