Job Description
Our client is seeking a detailoriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations related to family wealth and investments. This role requires a strong accounting background proven leadership skills and the ability to manage complex financial structures. A CPA designation is preferred but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daytoday accounting functions including financial statements general ledger entries reconciliations and reporting.
Lead mentor and supervise a small team of accountants ensuring professional growth and consistent performance.
Collaborate with tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax filings and assist in strategic tax planning.
Manage accounting for various investments ensuring accurate valuation and return tracking.
Monitor cash flow liquidity and budgeting for operational efficiency and reserve adequacy.
Develop and enforce internal controls and financial policies to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.
Prepare for and support external audits of financial statements.
Provide financial analysis forecasting and reporting to assist with strategic decisionmaking.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience including 3 years in a managerial role ideally within a family office or private wealth management.
CPA designation preferred; other certifications like CMA CFA or CFP are a plus.
Expertise in financial reporting tax compliance and investment accounting.
Proficiency with accounting software and financial systems; Oracle experience a plus.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and financial modeling.
Strong analytical problemsolving and organizational abilities.
High level of discretion and ability to manage sensitive financial information.
