Promote deliver and facilitate the Multiply project by delivering training to service users to promote financial resilience develop or increase financial and numeracy skills.
Support service users to access a range of statutory or voluntary services to ensure financial resilience
KEY RESULT AREAS
1. Contribute to corporate and statutory objectives to prevent homelessness by supporting households owed a statutory homeless duty to improve numeracy skills personal budgeting and achieve tenancy sustainment.
2. To achieve as far as is practicably possible financial and digital inclusion for people to enable them to manage their own financial arrangements in the future.
3. To network and liaise effectively with the councils housing advice & prevention team other relevant departments external organisations and groups to develop strategies to address issues such as numeracy budgeting debt income maximisation food and fuel poverty savings and welfare reform.
4. Maintain and improve knowledge of legislation regulations and entitlement to welfare benefits and income maximisation through professional development.
5. To provide an effective assessment of needs and to devise and implement individual training and support plans with service users maintaining accurate case notes evaluation and outcomes in line with Newport City Councils GDPR and confidentiality policies and procedures.
6. To develop and maintain systems for monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness and evaluation of the training and support offered including service user feedback and case studies and utilise this information to contribute to the review and delivery of services across the team.
7. Prepare paper and digital resources to deliver structured training to individuals and groups in a variety of locations.
8. Plan prepare and deliver training using appropriate coaching and learning strategies matched to the needs of service users.
9. Undertake an evaluation of training courses and provide service users with feedback relating to their achievements and progress. Create opportunities for learners to feedback their perceptions of the course.
10. Coordinate marketing and promotional activities through planned PR including the social media profile of the project. Create appropriate and engaging content for social media and other formats and support other team members to create content.
11. Make appropriate referrals to statutory agencies where issues of safeguarding or safety are identified.
12. In partnership with the Councils Advice & Prevention team and Pathways & Commissioning team contribute to the development and monitoring of effective traumainformed support packages and personal support plans that are geared towards the specific needs and requirements of services users aimed at tackling and alleviating homelessness increasing personal resilience and ultimately enabling tenancy sustainment.
13. To help clients develop links with voluntary and statutory agencies in order to access community resources and relevant services.
14. To carry out other duties and responsibilities where necessary appropriate and practicable of the same grade within the department in order to ensure that a seamless and consistent service is provided to all customers.
15. To contribute to and adhere to the Councils financial regulations standing orders policies and procedures in particular Health and Safety Confidentiality Equal Opportunities Data Protection and Customer Care.
