Job title: Clinical Documentation Improvement Manager
Work set up: Manila (100% onsite)
Work schedule: Shift: 9 pm to 6 am
Salary: Php120 to 150K approx.(will review based on qualification and present salary.)
Location: NCR City of Manila
Responsibilities for CDI Manager:
Operational Leadership.
Manage the CDI team including but not limited to hiring training managing & evaluating team performance and conducting professional development plans.
Ensure that the productivity and actions of the CDI team meet and support the overall operational goals of the department and institution.
Assist Director with development of annual budget for CDI.
Collect analyze and present data related to CDI team performance provider
performance query outcomes and documentation issues across US health(prepare options present recommendations and explain associated benefits and
risks)
Develop and execute CDI process improvement projects (department and
organization wide)
Collaborate extensively with members of the health care team to provide data
and solution development processes.
Oversees the development and implementation of ongoing formal and informal
education of physicians midlevels nursing and other qualified clinical staff.
Conduct investigatory meetings of potential work rule violations.
Learning and Development.
Design develop and execute standard policies and procedures standardized queries technologies and tools and strategies targeted to improve the quality of documentation and overall quality and financial performance of UW health.
Participate and lead multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement best
practices in Clinical Documentation Improvement.
Participate in and promote the prevention detection and resolution of instances of noncompliance with institutional wide CDI policies.
Provide feedback to the Director of Coding and CDI on exceptional and/or substandard CDI performance as needed.
Lead interviews of applicants for the CDI team and select best qualified individuals for positions.
Train and delegate training of new employees in department policies and procedures.
Complete performance evaluations.
Counsel CDI team on actions required to meet minimum performance requirements.
Provides or arranges for necessary knowledgebased resources required by the CDI staff to meet quality and production standards.
Qualification:
Expanding on the CDI I role to include reporting and data analysis and creation of service line dashboards.
It includes additional focus on provider interaction during rounds and educational sessions and creation of educational content for several assigned service lines incorporating the clinical units that house the majority of the patients these service lines follow.
The CDI II is responsible for ensuring efficiency and productivity of the processes and workflows of his or her team participating in orientation of new staff reporting any issues to the CDI III or leadership and potentially getting involved in committees/projects.
Educational Qualifications:
Medical Graduate/Doctor MD or RN BSN APRN or other medical allied courses
Desired Skill set:
5 years of clinical experience in hospital setting with extensive clinical knowledge and understanding of pathology/physiology.
2 year has been in CDI and obtained at least one certification.
Extensive clinical knowledge and understanding of pathology/physiology; Knowledge of agespecific patient needs and the elements of disease processes and related
procedures demonstrated by clinical experience in hospital setting
Thorough knowledge of ICD9CM ICD10CM/PCS APR DRG and MS DRG Mortality PSI and HAC required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to write concisely and effectively when communicating with providers.
License/Certification: Currently holds and maintain at least 1 role related certification(CCDS or CCS or CDIP or CRCR or CPHQ)
