Job Description
Job Title: Principal ServiceNow Platform Developer
Location: Dallas TX or Miramar FL
Duration: Contract to Hire
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced software developer specializing in the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading complex development projects providing technical expertise mentoring junior developers and ensuring the quality and efficiency of ServiceNow solutions within an organization often playing a key role in architectural design and strategic decisionmaking related to the platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecting and designing complex ServiceNow solutions including integrations with other systems.
Leading technical discussions and decisionmaking on best practices for development and implementation.
Reviewing code ensuring quality standards are met and providing technical guidance to the development team.
Managing largescale ServiceNow projects including planning scoping resource allocation and delivery timelines.
Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective ServiceNow solutions.
Developing custom applications workflows and integrations within the ServiceNow platform.
Writing clean efficient and maintainable code using ServiceNow scripting languages.
Troubleshooting complex technical issues and resolving production problems.
Coaching and mentoring junior ServiceNow developers transferring knowledge and best practices.
Fostering a collaborative team environment promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Identifying opportunities to leverage ServiceNow capabilities to optimize business processes.
Staying updated on the latest ServiceNow features and functionalities proposing enhancements and upgrades.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.
Proven experience across various ServiceNow modules (e.g. ITSM HR AppEngine ITOM IRM SecOps etc.) with indepth knowledge of platform capabilities scripting languages and architecture.
Strong proficiency in objectoriented programming concepts data structures and best practices for software design.
- Certifications are required. minimum certifications are the CSA and CAD
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor development teams manage complex projects and make technical decisions.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams stakeholders and senior management.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders.
