Job Description

Mobile Health Team Inc. a staffing agency has an opening for a Permanent FullTime Registered Nurse MedicalSurgical position. We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Location: Mauston WI 53948

Start Date: 1/10/2025

Schedule: Nights Fulltime 72 hours per pay period; three 12hour shifts per week 7:00 pm to 7:30 am

Weekend rotation: Every 4th weekend Weekend shift differential is available

Holiday rotation: Paid Holidays

Salary: $62000.00 to $93000.00

The Registered Nurse position provides patients with quality professional general nursing care. Responsible for assessing planning implementing documenting and evaluating patient care for a group of patients in the department. Must adapt appropriately to changes in daily assignments patient status changes and unit needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use and perpetuate the nursing process throughout the patients hospitalization.
  • Ensure that patient care is individualized to meet the patients unique needs and situation.
  • General knowledge of disease processes and anticipated treatments labs vital signs and any other potential complications about diagnosis.
  • Initiate develop and document a patient plan of care based on patient assessment and medical diagnosis and set priorities for nursing action following departmental expectations.
  • Within the framework of unit requirements physician orders and policy and procedures provide care independently with minimal supervision.
  • Respond to lifethreatening situations based on nursing standards policies procedures and protocol.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of procedures and treatments and have the ability to explain them to patients at their level of understanding.
  • Perform or assist with procedures per approved departmental policy and procedure.
  • Observe and record significant condition changes or reactions in patients.
  • Promptly notify the Provider of changes in the patients condition reaction to drugs treatment and significant incidents.
  • Monitor record and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
  • Via the electronic medical record (EMR) acknowledge physicians orders by the process of review and verification. Once the order is acknowledged follow through on the order or delegate in a timely fashion.
  • Be proficient in medication administration including IV therapy as evidenced by a lack of medication errors.
  • Initiate patient/family education plan and discharge needs according to the individualized needs of the patient/family as prescribed by provider and/or hospital policy.
  • Delegate to and collaborate with other health team members in planning and providing care based on patient needs.
  • Learn and maintain skills and equipment competencies as needed.
  • Safely care for multiple patients.
  • Maintains a safe environment for patients and uses safety precautions appropriately.
  • Demonstrate understanding and utilization of Universal Precautions asepsis and infection control procedures.
  • Ensure proper handling of specimens.
  • Float to other units as necessary.
  • Participate in department or unit quality improvement activities.
  • Attend unit meetings following unit policy.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail are required.

Education:

  • A twoyear degree in nursing is required.
  • Fouryear degree preferred.

Licenses Certifications and Registration:

  • Must hold and maintain a nursing license. RNs with an active Compact Licensure are to obtain a Wisconsin RN license within 90 days of relocation.
  • BLS/BCLS is required within 1 month of hire
  • ACLS is expected within 2 years of hire
  • PALS encouraged within 2 years of hire

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Intermediate proficiency with computers is required.
  • Comprehensive nursing skills and general knowledge of equipment.
  • Strong skills to manage coordinate and evaluate the care and education of patients and families.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
  • Selfstarter with excellent interpersonal communication and problemsolving skills.
