Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Electrical Design Engineer with 14years specialized in design development and implementation for Substation design. The ideal candidate involves themselves in creating detailed design plans ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
You are expected to do:
Manage the complete lifecycle of Substation Design with minimal supervision. This includes project planning execution monitoring and closing.
Develop detailed Electrical Designs for Substation including Sizing Calculation control & protection schemes Component/Equipment selection substation layout drawings etc. Conduct system modelling and simulations to validate design choices.
Provide expertlevel technical support and troubleshooting for complex electrical issues during design installation and operational phases.
Ensure all designs adhere to relevant industry standards codes and regulations (e.g. ANSI/IEEE NEC ULIEC). Implement safety measures and conduct risk assessments.
Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including specifications reports and user manuals. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and clients.
Requirements
You will be a great fit if you have:
14 years of relevant work experience with B.E. / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering.
Experience in designing SLD/3lines/Protection schematics Substations MCC and PCC panels etc.
Sound knowledge in Breaker sizing Cable sizing Bus bar sizing cable routing etc.
Hands on experience with ANSI NFPA NEC NEMA and UL standardsPreferred.
Experience in electrical component selection and BOM preparation.
Knowledge of various Protection Schemes.
Working experience in software s like AUTO CAD
