We are responsible for designing developing and implementing next generation data platforms to drive incremental revenue. 

Essential functions:

• Handson Programming

• Fullstack development contributes to the design of backend databases and queries API creations and consumptions and contributes to frontend UI development.

• Works independently with minimal insight to develop software that conforms to Visas high standards of security quality performance resiliency and compliance.

• Design develop and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.

• Participate in design and code review sessions as appropriate

• Provide thirdlevel support to business users.

• Keep up with current and developing engineering trends.

• Design Architect and Implement high robust system designs as per the growing needs.

• Contribute to the roadmap for the product.

• Work with architects systems analysts project managers and other developers to efficiently implement business requirements while applying the latest available tools and technology.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 23 set days a week (determined by leadership/site) with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications:
2 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree OR 5 years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:
3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD).
Bachelors degree in a technical field such as computer science computer
engineering or related field required. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of handson expertise with Java Spring Python and related technologies.
Experience in Gen AI Big data and UI technologies will be an added advantage.
Experience with highly distributed scalable concurrent and low latency
systems working with one or more of the following database technologies: DB2 MySQL and NoSQL data warehouses such as HBase.
Experience working in an Agile and TestDriven Development environment.
Experience with Continuous Integration and Automated Test tools such as Jenkins Artifactory Git Selenium Chef desirable.
Strategic thinker and good business acumen to orient data engineering to the business needs of internal clients.
Demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor strong attention to detail team oriented energetic collaborative diplomatic and flexible style.
