Job Description
Role: ApplinX Development and Support Consultant
Location: Jackson MS 39202 (75% offsite and 25% onsite)
Duration: 3 years Contract with possibility for extension
ApplinX is a software solution designed to modernize and integrate legacy applications enabling them to work seamlessly with contemporary web mobile and cloud environments. It facilitates the transformation of outdated systems by providing tools to create web services APIs and userfriendly interfaces without altering the original codebase. ApplinX supports Clients legacy applications improves user experience and enhances operational efficiency by bridging the gap between old and new technologies.
Client is currently seeking an ApplinX Web developer to continue extending and expanding the ApplinX web development modernization designs that have been implemented in the JAWS and MAVERICS legacy applications. This resource will work at the sole direction of the assigned Clients/MIS lead and may provide any of the following services:
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis.
- Detailed Design and Documentation.
- Sprint Planning and Execution.
- Workflows Development.
- ApplinX Web Screens Development.
- Unit Testing.
- System Integration Support.
- User Acceptance Testing Support.
- Golive Support.
- PostGolive Production Support.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 10 years with CICS COBOL.
- 5 years in JAVA and experience in working with ApplinX version 8 or later.
- Experience with providing transfer of knowledge to the identified MDHS technical teams.
- Experienced ApplinX/Web professional able to establish and support ApplinXrelated operations according to best practices and MDHS business requirements.
- Experience with ApplinX applications ApplinX web applications and ApplinX NATAPX hosts.
- Experience in working with business owners to build and formulate business requirements.
- Knowledge of agile software development.
- Working knowledge of web technologies (e.g. HTML CSS JavaScript).
- Programming skills in JAVA or Microsoft .NET.
- Candidate must have strong communication skills written oral and presentation.
